The word is finally out. The media is starting to suggest that the time to invest in real estate is now.
What I have predicted, and what I still feel is that you, me, and a bunch of other people will be the ones who both individually and as an ever growing group take charge and control the real estate market.
Investing in the one, two, three, and four family rental housing market will allow many people to become independently wealthy over the next few years. I started buying these types of properties over 30 years ago.
Unfortunately there are also many people who will simply jump into the rising market without any idea of what they are doing, and they will end up in bankruptcy!
Anybody, from any background, with or without money or credit can start buying up houses in this market. Yes, I said with or without money or credit! I know because I started with no money and no credit. Now I show people just like you how to follow in my footsteps.

Marilyn Monroe

One person that everyone continues to adore is Marilyn Monroe. She was one who was truly sent by God to affect both men and women in unusual positive ways in both her living days and into the far future. Her natural beauty, artistic talent, and intellect all seem to be straight from heaven.

I’ve watched both the movies she has starred in along with most every movie or documentary about her life. I just finished watching the 2011 movie ‘My Week with Marilyn,’ which intrigued me once again to search google for even more about her. My search brought me to an excellent blog that featured an article by Ayn Rand about Marilyn. As I read the beautiful, articulate loving words of Ayn Rand concerning Marilyn and her death, it amazed me that even Ayn could lay down words of affection and respect towards Marilyn. On a personal note, Ayn’s words reminded me of another beautiful person from my past who is so similar to Marilyn and her life, including her struggles.

Most of us simply stop moving ahead. We know what we have but are afraid of what might happen. This negative thinking that each of us has is reduced to the old adage: “The devil we know is better than the devil we don’t.” This is what stops us.

I have experienced this many times during the course of my very eventful life, and that is the very reason my life has been so very eventful. What I have accomplished during any one of my years since age 13 is more than most people do in their entire lifetimes. Call it what you will: intuition; common sense; extra sensory perception (ESP); divine inspiration; spirituality; or even miracle, but whatever name is assigned to it, one thing is certain: I have made decisions and moved ahead. Some have been great, others have been wrong. Many have been strong, several have been humbling. No matter what the consequence each decision was a learning experience that now, in retrospect, has been astonishing in its own way.

Today I offer you a scientific way to make your major (and minor) decisions about life’s pathways. I never thought of decision making quite this way when it comes to my personal life, but Joe Weldon explains it perfectly.

It was my delight to find a perfect solution that could be passed on to others in helping them make decisions about their lives, especially the larger decisions. What dreams would you take hold of and just do? How many items in your “bucket list” would you do? How many more things would you add to your bucket list? Couldn’t you fulfill those “Delusions of Grandeur” that you have always had?

I recently watched a movie named “Limitless.”

Whether you have seen the movie or not, its time to see it right after reading this blog entry.  Think of the movie as a brain expanding film, for YOUR brain.

Very interesting…especially the last words in the movie. Don’t worry, I’m not a spoiler. The movie is action packed, thought provoking, addictive, and great entertainment. But it is much, much, more than simply entertainment.

If you could actually get all the crap in your brain that is messing with your mind out of the way, you could actually do anything.  When we are born our minds are limitless. As explore our environment, restrictions begin developing. By the time we are six years old our minds have realized that there are limits. Most put there by parents for our safety. As we get into our teen years we are all messed up. We want to conform, but also want to be ourselves.  Whichever way we decide, its wrong. Once we are in our early 20′s we are so constricted by our own minds, and all the small talk that takes place there. As we get older we realize that all the restrictions and constrictions in our life have been set before we reached 6 years old. Then we decide to act like a six year old (because as old people we can get away with it), or we step up to the challenge and start enjoying life by making things happen!

The trouble is that we have wasted the time of our lives from 6 years until we come to the realization, if indeed we ever do come to the realization.

We all can have a recipe for grandeur, its called goal setting. A plan for whatever we want to do, starting whenever we decide to start. Most of us either don’t believe we can have what we really want, or it is too much work to set goals, write them out, and move toward them with a plan of action. Or we tell ourselves, someday I’ll…and we all know that someday never comes.

Your homework? Watch this movie – at least twice.

Everything is possible when you open your mind.

O.K. Lets get down to brass tacks…
When you heard that you can become wealthy, did you follow the advice?
Probably not.
Why?
Because although it sounded good, it was too much change in your life.
You know what your life is like now, you like the information provided, and you simply dismissed it…maybe to try later.
Why later? Because those changes aren’t you. So life continues. After all, its not that bad, and if it is, well there’s always another excuse…I’m too old, spouse will never agree, I like the way I eat now, we’re surviving o.k., and all the other crap that you sell yourself.

Why are you reading this? The answer is so obvious. Deep down you really want change in your life, you want to be independently wealthy and work only when you want to.

I hope this can get you started. It’s an excellent blog article that I came across. I agree with the author, and practice most everything on the list. Most people, like yourself, will be shocked, upset, and find this list an impossibility to follow. That is precisely why you can’t get ahead. That is why you will have a trying life. That is why you will die broke!

Follow this link, read the list, share the list with those close to you. Be honest. and begin to tackle each item, no matter how difficult it is. Why you are not Rich/Wealthy.

Its now up to you.

The short answer is “Yes, you can.”

How do I know? Because I am.

Yes you have problems. Everyone does. I was doomed to crutches, canes, and wheelchairs. I’ve had cancers & other diseases. I should be dead (several times over). I’ve been penniless  & broke (over and over). I’ve been homeless. I’ve been cold. I’ve been hungry. I’ve had IRS problems. I’ve filed bankruptcy. Face it, we all have had crap happen…it’s part of life…it’s part of growth.  What we do and how we react when faced with adversity is who we really are.

Many people ask how I could possibly accomplish so many things such as: Acquire, renovate, rent, and sell real estate both as an investor and realtor®; prepare & present seminars, training, and classes; write books and articles; read books and articles; grocery shop; cook meals; clean house; bike ride, rollerblade, and walk my dog Maggie at least 3 times per day. That’s in addition to running five companies and having a great social life. I have stated many times that I could write a very thick novel for each year of my life since age 13 (my lucky number), packed with things that the average person would never be able to accomplish, enjoy, and learn from as I have.

My life has been and will continue to be fully abundant as I enjoy all the gifts God has given me. I see the best in everybody and everything. So many people envy me – there are a lot of haters out there! I hear the lies, put downs, and viciousness toward me. Right now people reading this are getting really mad. Why? Because they are angry about their own, non-productive and useless lives and vent it toward me.

What I don’t advertise is that there are many more times that adversity has struck me than the normal person. Several near death experiences and many health issues have been overwhelming. Financial gain, ruin, gain, ruin, and gain again have been devastating. The secret was keeping a positive attitude through it all. Keep watching and reading this blog and you will learn some of the details of the muck I have had to overcome.

O.K. Now we can talk about you. How can you have an amazing fun filled life from this day forward?

You CAN change if you really want to. The question is do you really want to? If you want drastic results you have to take drastic actions. If you make minor mediocre changes, chances are that nothing will change at all.

You don’t have to make a whole lot of changes all at once, just take it one step at a time. But ensure that each step is a big drastic change.

If you are like most people you have developed habits over the years that have become part of your daily routine. It’s going to take a while to change things around. It’s going to take time…the one thing that we all wish we had more of. What would you do if you had an extra 4-6 hours of time each and every day?

You would have more time for meeting new people, time for exercise, time for actually speaking and building a strong relationship with your kids, spouse, and friends. You would have more time to develop a business, or simply just think and ponder.

You must take drastic action for drastic results. Step 1: Shut off the television. If you are envious of the life I have then stop living the lives of the television characters. Start living your own life. I don’t watch television. When Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997, I had no idea. Her death, although sad, did not affect my personal life or my finances. I stepped out of my rented Cape Cod cottage a couple of day later and met my neighbors discussing the funeral. They were amazed that I had no idea of her death. You see I didn’t have television, radio, or any other instrument of bad news. It didn’t matter to me. Likewise when dictator Muammar Gaddafi died four days ago and Libya is now liberated, I didn’t get the news until I overheard it in a discussion about another topic this morning. It doesn’t affect me.How much time have you wasted listening, watching, and learning more about this news item that will not directly affect your personal or financial life? If you used that time to build your personal relationships or think of a new way to build a better mouse trap, or took the time to meditate and pray, you would be much better off.

Unfortunately, I see it all the time. People attend real estate investment meetings to network with and learn from others who can help them. Unfortunately there are many predators in the crowd always looking for victims to scam.

From the platform when speaking is when I see what nobody else can see. For example: I may ask how many people are new to real estate investing and the hands go up. As people are looking around and identifying the newbies, I see an immediate shift in the room. Some movements are slow and some are quick. Certain people in the room begin gravitating to the newbies, handing them a card, and beginning small talk. Usually, these quick aggressive people in the room are the ones to watch out for. They will befriend the ‘green’ or ‘newbie’ investor and plan any number of scams to get their money.

Most other people who sincerely want to help new people are not sneaky, and are not afraid to stand up and let people know their name, number, and how they can help. It’s the other ones that concern me.

The vilest are those who are actually managing or operating the meeting. These are the ones that newbies tend to trust more and therefor are prone to be sucked in. Just beware. Seek out and talk to others who have had experience with the person supposedly trying to help you. If you can’t find any the reason is because after getting ripped off once, they don’t return and consequently are not in the crowd.

At the investment meetings that I operate (UltiamteREIA.com), I identify these people from the platform, make notes of them, and check them out. Many times I will ban them from coming to future meetings in an attempt to keep people a little safer.
